Jeroen Meersma advises Dutch and foreign companies and employees on employment law issues. Thanks to his many years of legal experience and management experience, he knows the business interests, the pressure of expected results and the challenge of change. He can guide companies and employees well in this.

Education and Career

Jeroen Meersma studied Dutch law at the University of Groningen and specialized in Private Law and Criminal Law. Jeroen started his career in 1998 as a lawyer at DLA Piper (then still Schut and Grosheide) and later at Arthur Andersen, specialized in corporate law and banking and securities law.

Since 2003, Jeroen has held various management positions in the business world. Jeroen’s focus was on change and innovation. He specializes in change management, new working methods and the psychology of change. Jeroen has led several reorganisations.

In 2020 Jeroen returned to legal work and is involved full-time with employment law for Doorn en Keizer.

Memberships

Jeroen Meersma is a member of the Association for Employment Law (VvA).

Ancillary activities

Jeroen has been a director of Mediahuis’ company pension fund for many years.

Registration

Jeroen has registered the following principal (and secondary) legal practice areas in the Netherlands Bar’s register of legal practice areas (rechtsgebiedenregister): employment law.

Based on this registration, he is required to obtain ten training credits per calendar year in each registered principal legal practice area in accordance with the standards set by the Netherlands Bar.
